Chapter 9

This chapter shows a story from kraeuters perspective. He talks about how we have to not be too arrogant in our position in a church. We need to make sure we are leading for the right reasons, not for our own gain and be away from arrogance. It is extremely important to be loose with our positions, we need to always remember that God is more important than our position.

As worship leaders, it is so difficult to remember that worship is way more important than playing music for the band. I remember that when at first I didn't make the worship band, I was so mad. I realized soon later that as long as I stay stronger in my faith, the fact I play in the band won't matter. I am overwhelmingly joyful that I am able to play in the band, but not making it at first gave me a different perspective while playing with you guys.

  1. Arrogance is something that an happen when we think to highly of our positions. We are servants of the Lord. We should be thinking of ways we can be more humble in our jobs as leaders of worship.

  2. I agree with what you said that worship is more important than just playing music. I also like how you shared about staying strong in your faith, even through frustration and anger.

  3. Hi Brennan! I liked how you used your own experience to relate to the chapter. I can relate to that too because I went through a similar experience. I am overwhelmingly joyful that we get to have you as our bass player! :)

  4. Thank you Brennan we love you too! It's so fun playing with you but it would be more fun if you gave us that shoutout. Just kidding :)
I agree that the more that we strengthen our faith, the less that we think of our positions. Good point.
